Area Sales Manager (Kerala)
Electres · Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
Role summary
The Area Sales Manager will drive sales of Electres energy storage solutions across specific regions. You will own the territory end to end — identifying new business, building and managing a channel and EPC network, closing direct C&I opportunities, and hitting revenue targets. The role works closely with the marketing and technical teams to align sales efforts with company goals and to convert qualified leads into deployed systems.
Key responsibilities
- Own the sales target — deliver monthly and quarterly revenue and volume goals for the territory.
- Develop new business — identify and pursue opportunities across residential (via channel/EPC), commercial, and industrial backup and solar-plus-storage applications.
- Build and manage the channel — recruit, onboard, and grow dealers, distributors, EPCs, and solar installers; drive secondary sales and partner enablement.
- Manage direct C&I accounts — run the consultative sales cycle : discovery, site/load assessment, proposal, negotiation, and close, supported by the technical team.
- Convert qualified leads — work the pipeline from marketing (Meta/website/WhatsApp leads in Zoho CRM) with disciplined, fast follow-up, and maintain accurate CRM records and forecasts.
- Negotiate and close contracts — structure commercials within approved guardrails; manage pricing discipline and payment terms.
- Build lasting client relationships — act as the trusted, accountable point of contact throughout commissioning and post sales.
- Read the market — track competitor activity, pricing, tariffs/policy, and demand trends; feed data-driven insights into sales and product strategy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally — align with marketing on territory campaigns and lead quality, and with the technical team on sizing, specs, and proposals.
Qualifications

- Willingness to travel extensively within the state; valid driving licence.
