WorkToes Safety Footwear, a leading brand of industrial & safety shoes is hiring for Area Sales Managers across India for North India / West India / South India & East India
Role Overview
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will be responsible for driving sales and business development for WorkToes safety footwear within the assigned region. The role involves developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, converting leads, and achieving sales targets across industrial and distribution channels.
The ASM will play a key role in establishing WorkToes as a preferred safety footwear brand among industrial customers, distributors, and institutional buyers.
Key Responsibilities
1️ Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across industries such as construction, manufacturing, logistics, engineering, oil & gas, and infrastructure
- Build a strong pipeline of industrial customers, contractors, and institutional buyers
- Appoint and develop regional distributors and channel partners
2️ Lead Generation & Conversion
- Follow up on online leads generated through website, digital campaigns, and inbound enquiries
- Generate leads through field visits, industry networking, and cold outreach
- Qualify leads and convert them into business opportunities
3️ Customer Engagement
- Meet potential customers and conduct product presentations and demonstrations
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable safety footwear solutions
- Arrange and showcase product samples for evaluation
4️ RFQ & Proposal Management
- Work on RFQs (Request for Quotations) from industrial customers
- Coordinate internally to prepare commercial proposals and pricing
- Negotiate and close orders in line with company pricing and margin guidelines
5️ Sales Closure & Target Achievement
- Drive conversion from enquiry to order
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Maintain strong follow-up to ensure order closure and repeat business
6️ Account Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers and distributors
- Ensure customer satisfaction and timely resolution of queries
- Identify opportunities for repeat orders and cross-selling
7️ Market Intelligence
- Track competitor activities, pricing, and product offerings
- Provide insights on market trends, customer preferences, and product feedback
- Support the company in refining product positioning and strategy
8️ Reporting & CRM
- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and sales activities
- Update CRM regularly with customer interactions and pipeline status
- Submit periodic reports on sales performance and market updates
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong B2B sales and negotiation skills
- Experience in industrial sales / PPE / safety products / footwear preferred
- Ability to conduct presentations and product demonstrations
- Good understanding of industrial buying processes
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and proactive approach
Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline (MBA preferred but not mandatory)
- 4–8 years of experience in industrial sales / PPE / safety products / B2B sales
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Monthly / quarterly sales targets
- Number of new customers acquired
- Lead conversion ratio
- Number of distributor appointments
- RFQs generated and converted
- Repeat business from key accounts
