Role Description
We are hiring an Area Sales Manager for a full time, on-site role based in Mumbai.
This is a field leadership role focused on driving business across nutrition, genomics, and microbiome solutions, with a strong emphasis on nutrition-led growth.
The selected candidate will lead a team of Medical Representatives, build relationships with doctors and hospitals, and drive adoption of both nutrition products and advanced preventive health solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage a team of Medical Representatives for field execution
• Drive doctor and hospital engagement across assigned territory
• Build strong prescription and recommendation base for nutrition products
• Support adoption of genomics and microbiome testing through doctors
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets with focus on nutrition business
• Plan and execute territory strategy for clinic and hospital coverage
• Conduct joint field work, training, and performance monitoring
• Identify new business opportunities within healthcare networks
Qualifications and Requirements
• 3 to 8 years of experience in pharma, diagnostics, or healthcare sales
• Prior experience in managing MR teams (ASM or similar role)
• Strong doctor network and field engagement experience in Mumbai
• Proven ability to drive prescription-based or recommendation-based sales
• Good communication and relationship-building skills
• Field-driven approach with willingness to travel within the assigned territory
Preferred Background
• Experience in nutraceuticals, diagnostics, or speciality healthcare
• Exposure to hospital or institutional sales
• Understanding of preventive healthcare, genetics, or microbiome is an advantage
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field is preferred
