Role Description This is a full-time, remote role for an Area Sales Manager. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving sales targets within an assigned territory, managing and expanding the distributor and dealer network, and maintaining strong relationships with key customers and partners. Day-to-day activities include identifying new business opportunities, conducting virtual or field visits as required, following up on leads, preparing quotations, and negotiating terms in line with company guidelines. The role also includes monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback, and reporting insights to management to support strategic decisions. The Area Sales Manager will collaborate with internal teams such as operations, logistics, and finance to ensure timely deliveries, resolve issues, and support customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in area or regional sales management, preferably in manufacturing, industrial products, mining, or metals.
- Strong skills in territory management, account management, and building distributor/dealer networks.
- Ability to identify opportunities, generate leads, and convert prospects into long-term customers.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English; additional local language skills are an advantage.
- Comfort with remote work tools, CRM systems, and basic office software for reporting and planning.
- Capability to analyze sales data, track performance against targets, and prepare concise reports and forecasts.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision while coordinating with remote teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; relevant sales experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned area as needed for client meetings, site visits, or industry events.
