Role Description The Area Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in North Delhi, responsible for driving sales growth and market penetration for Rodec’s veterinary pharmaceutical products. The role includes managing and expanding relationships with veterinary professionals, distributors, farmers, and institutional customers within the assigned territory. The Area Sales Manager will plan and execute sales strategies, conduct regular field visits, organize product demonstrations and meetings, and ensure effective implementation of promotional activities. Daily responsibilities include achieving sales targets, monitoring market trends and competitor activities, providing accurate sales forecasts, and preparing periodic reports for management. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams for supply, marketing support, and customer service, while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and business development skills, including territory management and relationship building.
- Ability to plan and execute field activities, including customer visits, product presentations, and promotional events.
- Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for working with veterinarians, farmers, and institutional stakeholders.
- Analytical skills to track sales performance, understand market trends, and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Knowledge of the veterinary or pharmaceutical industry; experience in animal health sales is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office) and familiarity with sales reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and meet targets under minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as required.
