Position title: Area Sales Manager
Department: Industrial Sales and Marketing (WHE)
Location: North
Full/Part-time: Full time
Organizational relationships
- Reports to: Regional Sales Manager
- Supervises: Sales Engineers
- Coordinates with: Accounts department, Logistics department, Administration department, Service Department.
- Functional relationship with: Pilot Trial Team
- External Stakeholders: Industrial clients, dealers and their representatives, Industry associations, Regulatory / Government agencies / Relevant ministries
Academic qualification
- Essential: B.Sc. (Chemistry) or B.E. (Chem)
- Desired: MBA – Marketing, Post graduate diploma in Environment Pollution Control Technology
Experience
Technical skills
Ø Technical knowledge of waste water/process applications
Ø Knowledge of water quality parameters and membrane chemistry
Ø Knowledge of evaporators and its processes

Primary Responsibilities
§ Responsible for promotion and marketing of existing and new products.
§ To provide feedback on market need gap.
§ To generate new enquires
§ To attend marketing calls and responding to enquiries
§ To communicate, coordinate and meet customer requirements
§ To coordinate with trials team and customer
§ To provide inputs to the proposal engineer in order to draft the proposal as per customer’s requirement
§ To follow up with customers after offers are submitted
§ To customize marketing literature to suit customer trend based on geography.
§ To assisting O & M dept resolving customer complaints.
§ To gather information with regards to the Market.
§ To plan, guide tours and activities of subordinates.
§ To liaison with Agents.
§ To build and retain the Brand image with customers
§ To implement sales promotion activities.
Environmental Condition
The person in this position will have to travel extensively (around 20 – 25 days a month) in assigned area.
