Role Overview
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will be responsible for driving sales growth, salon expansion, and distributor management across the Bengaluru region. The role requires strong experience in the professional haircare and keratin industry with the ability to independently manage territory sales, salon relationships, business development, and market execution.
The ASM will play a key role in expanding salon presence, increasing revenue from existing salons, coordinating demos and trainings, and ensuring disciplined execution of company pricing and schemes.
This is a field-intensive leadership role with clear ownership of territory performance.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Sales & Business Development
- Drive overall sales growth for the Bengaluru territory.
- Identify, onboard, and develop new professional salon accounts.
- Build strong relationships with salon owners, senior stylists, and decision-makers.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly territory sales targets.
Existing Salon Relationship Management
- Strengthen relationships with existing salon partners.
- Increase revenue and product penetration within active salons.
- Ensure regular salon visits and continuous engagement.
- Reactivate dormant salons and improve salon retention.
Product Demonstrations & Technical Coordination
- Coordinate product demos, trainings, and salon activations.
- Promote hair botox, biotin, protein and retail product ranges effectively.
- Work closely with technical educators to improve salon conversion and repeat business.
Distributor Management
- Handle distributor coordination, billing support, stock planning, and secondary sales growth.
- Ensure implementation of approved pricing, discount structures, and schemes.
- Monitor market discipline and prevent unauthorized discounting.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Track competitor activities, market trends, salon movements, and pricing strategies.
- Submit regular sales reports, visit reports, and territory updates.
- Maintain accurate salon database and sales pipeline tracking.
Candidate Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in professional salon sales, keratin, smoothing, or professional haircare industry.
- Strong network within the Bengaluru salon market preferred.
- Experience in distributor handling and salon business development is mandatory.
