Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Area Sales Manager role based in Chennai. The Area Sales Manager will oversee sales operations across assigned stores and locations, ensuring achievement of revenue, profitability, and growth targets. Responsibilities include planning and executing sales strategies, monitoring store performance, and analyzing sales reports to identify trends and opportunities. The role involves leading and mentoring store teams, driving high standards of customer service, and ensuring effective visual merchandising and brand representation. The Area Sales Manager will coordinate with cross-functional teams on promotions, inventory management, and new store activations, while regularly visiting outlets to support staff, resolve issues, and maintain operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in area or regional sales management, preferably in fashion, lifestyle, or retail eyewear.
- Strong skills in sales planning, target setting, and performance tracking to drive store-level and area-level results.
- Ability to lead, coach, and motivate diverse store teams, with a focus on customer experience and brand standards.
- Experience in retail operations, including inventory oversight, merchandising coordination, and store process compliance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with internal teams and external partners.
- Comfort working with sales reports, metrics, and basic analytics tools to make data-informed decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field preferred.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned area and work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays as needed.
- Prior experience managing multiple outlets in shopping malls or airports is an advantage.
