Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Area Sales Manager based in Kolkata. The Area Sales Manager will develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business objectives, supervise and support sales representatives, and ensure territory sales targets are met. Responsibilities include analyzing market trends, building strong relationships with healthcare professionals, and identifying new market opportunities. The role involves monitoring team performance, providing sales training, and preparing detailed reports to review progress and strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven sales management skills, including experience managing a sales team and achieving sales targets.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Market analysis, strategy development, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in effectively presenting and demonstrating pharmaceutical products to healthcare providers.
- Ability to inspire, mentor, and drive team performance while maintaining high motivation levels.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical sales processes and a good understanding of therapy areas like cardiovascular or anti-diabetic categories is a plus.
- Relevant bachelor's degree in business, pharmacy, or related field; a master’s degree or equivalent experience in sales would be an advantage.
