Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting and Achieving Sales Targets for his/her team: Establishing and meeting area sales goals.
- Executing the GTM: Executing plans to increase sales within the area by increase in town / retail coverage, product portfolio, distributors.
- Managing and Motivating Sales Teams: Supervising, coaching, and supporting the sales team to achieve their targets.
- Building and Maintaining Distributor Relationships: Developing and nurturing relationships with existing and potential distributors. Ensuring counter party risk and commercial hygiene is always maintained.
- Analysing Sales Performance: Monitoring sales data, identifying trends, and adjusting strategies.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Predicting sales demand, preparing budgets, and managing expenditures.
- Training and Development: Providing training and support to sales teams to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Reporting and Communication: Regularly reviewing team sales performance and progress.
- Market Analysis: Staying informed about market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
- Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving challenges within the sales process.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years in edible oils or staples at Sales Officer / Area Sales Executive (SO & above) in General Trade.
- Understands contract management, price movements in commodity business.
- Has worked on managing mix of trading and distribution channels in General Trade.
- Deft at executing BTL activities on ground.
- Has handled a hierarchical sales team DSM/SRèSOèASMèRSM
- Willing to travel 15-20 days in a month
- Any Graduate / Post Graduate in Marketing prefer
Additional Information
- Extremely good marketing skills, clear communication and multi-tasking skills.
- Have advanced knowledge of Excel.
