Role Description
The Area Sales Manager is a full-time hybrid position based in Surat, Gujarat, with flexibility for some remote work. The role involves managing sales operations within the designated area, developing and executing sales strategies, expanding the customer base, and achieving sales targets. The Area Sales Manager will also oversee the performance of the sales team, resolve customer queries, build strong client relationships, and analyze market trends to identify new opportunities for growth. Regular collaboration with other departments to ensure smooth operations and success will be a key part of the role.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with experience in achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Proficiency in market research and strategy development to identify new opportunities and optimize sales
- Team management and leadership skills to effectively oversee and motivate the sales team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills for addressing customer issues and evaluating sales performance
- Familiarity with the FMCG sector and experience working within regional markets is preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office and sales software tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is required
- Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment with part-time remote work and regular travel within the assigned area
