Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Area Sales Manager (ASM) to handle sales operations for South Kerala. The candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing distributor networks, expanding market coverage, and leading the sales team to drive business growth in the FMCG foods segment.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve primary and secondary sales targets for the assigned territory.
- Appoint, manage, and develop distributors across the region.
- Ensure market coverage, product availability, and visibility in all key outlets.
- Lead and motivate Territory Sales Executives / Sales Officers.
- Monitor competitor activities and implement market strategies accordingly.
- Conduct regular market visits with the sales team for business development.
- Ensure timely collection and maintain healthy distributor ROI.
- Drive new product launches and promotional activities in the market.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback regularly.
- Maintain strong relationships with distributors and key customers.
Requirements
- Graduate / MBA preferred.
- Minimum 6 to 15 years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably in foods category.
- Strong knowledge of Kerala FMCG market and distribution network.
- Experience in handling a sales team and distributor management.
- Good communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across South Kerala.
