Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to grow sales of premium wall textures, decorative paints, and coating products in Surat and nearby markets. The candidate will be responsible for developing dealers, architects, interior designers, contractors, builders, and applicator networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate sales for wall textures, paints, and decorative coating products in Surat.
- Appoint and manage dealers, distributors, and contractors.
- Build strong relationships with architects, interior designers, builders, developers, and painting contractors.
- Visit sites, understand client requirements, and recommend suitable products.
- Give product presentations and samples to architects, designers, and clients.
- Follow up on leads from digital marketing, references, and dealer enquiries.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Ensure regular market visits and daily reporting through CRM/WhatsApp/Excel as required.
- Coordinate with the application team for site execution, sample approvals, and technical support.
- Collect market feedback on pricing, competitors, product demand, and new opportunities.
- Ensure timely payment collection from dealers and customers.
- Support brand visibility through product displays, sample boards, catalogues, and local promotions.
Required Experience
- 3 to 7 years of sales experience in paints, textures, building materials, construction chemicals, tiles, plywood, laminates, hardware, or related products.
- Good network with architects, interior designers, contractors, builders, or dealers in Surat will be preferred.
- Experience in B2B sales and project sales is an advantage.
Skills Required
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good field sales and relationship-building ability.
- Target-oriented and self-motivated.
- Basic knowledge of paints, textures, or construction materials.
- Ability to handle dealers, contractors, and project clients.
- Comfortable with daily market visits and reporting.
- Must have own two-wheeler or car.
Qualification
Graduate preferred. MBA is an added advantage but not compulsory.
Compensation
Salary will be based on experience and market knowledge. Incentives can be offered based on sales performance.
Preferred Candidate
- A candidate who already has experience selling to architects, interior designers, builders, contractors, and paint/building material dealers in Surat will be highly preferred.
