Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Area Sales Manager based in Gurugram. The Area Sales Manager is responsible for managing sales activities within their designated territory to meet company objectives. Core responsibilities include developing and maintaining relationships with clients, identifying new sales opportunities, creating and implementing sales strategies, meeting sales objectives, and providing after-sales support. Additional tasks involve maintaining market knowledge, preparing reports, and collaborating with the internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and effective solution delivery.

Qualifications

  • Sales and Business Development skills, including identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and achieving sales targets.
  • Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management, fostering long-term client partnerships, and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to create and implement strategic sales plans and adapt to competitive market trends.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Technical knowledge in measuring and analysis instruments, or ability to rapidly learn the technical details of Anton Paar's product range.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM tools; data-centric decision-making is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or comparable qualification is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales or a similar role, ideally within a technical or scientific industry.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory as needed.
