Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Area Sales Manager based in Coimbatore. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing sales activities within the assigned territory. Key responsibilities include meeting sales targets, managing and mentoring a team of sales representatives, fostering strong relationships with healthcare professionals, and promoting the company’s pharmaceutical products. The role also involves strategic planning, ensuring market penetration within the assigned regions, and representing the company at medical conferences and events.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical sales, territory management, and market analysis
  • Proficiency in team management, leadership, and mentoring to motivate a high-performing sales force
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals
  • Strategic planning and problem-solving abilities for effective market penetration and sales target achievement
  • Experience in multi-therapeutic areas or pharmaceutical marketing is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical sales and team leadership
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory and a valid driver’s license
