Position Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Area Sales Manager with a minimum of 7 years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably in the detergent / home care category. The candidate will be responsible for managing and expanding sales operations across the entire Rajasthan region, driving distributor performance, strengthening market presence, and achieving business targets.

The ideal candidate should possess strong channel sales expertise, team handling capabilities, and a deep understanding of the FMCG distribution network.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and volume targets across Rajasthan
  • Manage the complete sales operations for the assigned territory.
  • Appoint, manage, and motivate distributors, dealers, and channel partners.
  • Ensure strong market penetration and distribution expansion in urban and rural markets.
  • Monitor primary and secondary sales performance.
  • Identify new business opportunities and market development initiatives.
  • Lead and mentor the field sales team, including Sales Officers / Territory Sales Executives.
  • Track competitor activities, pricing, promotions, and market trends.
  • Ensure visibility and merchandising standards across retail outlets.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, market reports, and MIS on a regular basis.
  • Drive collection efficiency and control outstanding payments.
  • Build strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts.
  • Coordinate with marketing and supply chain teams for smooth business operations.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in FMCG sales
  • Detergent / home care product experience preferred
  • Proven experience in channel sales and distribution management
  • Experience in handling a large geography, preferably Rajasthan
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Must be willing to travel extensively across the state

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate in any discipline
  • MBA / PGDM in Sales & Marketing preferred
