Role Overview
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving business growth in the assigned territory by executing effective commercial strategies. This role involves managing sell-in and sell-out targets, leading a field sales team, strengthening channel partnerships, and expanding market presence through disciplined execution.
Key Responsibilities- Achieve annual and periodic sales targets for primary and secondary sales
- Develop and execute market strategies to identify gaps and growth opportunities
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Business Development Executives (5–7 members)
- Manage distributors and channel partners to ensure healthy ROI
- Plan and execute channel expansion and new town activation
- Ensure merchandising standards, planogram adherence, and strong in-store visibility
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for smooth business operations
- Forecast monthly and quarterly sales for key brands and SKUs
