Role Description
We are looking for a dynamic and execution-focused Area Sales Manager (ASM) to drive sales and market expansion for our company across Hyderabad. The role involves handling distributors, expanding retail presence, driving primary and secondary sales, ensuring product visibility, and executing product launches across General Trade and Modern Trade channels.
Responsibilities
• Drive both primary sales and secondary sales and achieve monthly sales targets
• Identify, appoint, and manage distributors in assigned territories
• Manage, monitor, and train the sales team to ensure proper market execution and productivity
• Expand retail network across supermarkets, A-class stores, and premium kirana stores
• Ensure product availability, visibility, and timely replenishment in stores
• Monitor distributor stock levels and ensure timely order placement
• Coordinate dispatch planning based on market movement and SKU performance
• Execute product launches, sampling activities, and promotional initiatives
• Monitor SKU-wise sales performance and identify fast-moving and slow-moving products
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and store managers
• Ensure proper shelf placement, counter placement, and visibility in stores
• Track competitor activities, pricing, and market trends
• Ensure proper beat planning and market coverage
• Share daily sales reports, market updates, and retailer feedback with management
• Coordinate and monitor promoters or field staff, if assigned
* Prepare and present weekly/monthly sales reports, analyze market data, and derive actionable insights for business growth.
• Focus on driving reorders and repeat sales across key outlets
* Should have experience in handling Quick Commerce and E-commerce operations end-to-end, from platform onboarding and product listings to sales tracking and growth initiatives.
Qualifications
• Strong experience in distributor appointment and distributor handling
• Prior experience handling both General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT) channels
• Experience in executing new product launches in the market
• Strong familiarity with Hyderabad market, retailers, and distributor network
• FMCG sales experience, preferably in snacks, sweets, or food category
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
• Prefer Candidate from Hyderabad Location only.
