Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Hyderabad for an Area Sales Manager focused on APTS - SME/Emerging Lending. The responsibilities include leading sales operations within the region, building and managing relationships with new and existing SME clients, and ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets. The manager will act as a key point of contact for SMEs seeking customised credit solutions, assist them in the loan application process, and oversee disbursal timelines. Collaboration with internal teams to develop customer-centric strategies and leveraging local market insights to expand the client base will also be expected.


  • Actively sourcing and acquiring SME and Mid Corporate clients across a spectrum of industries, including Manufacturing, Engineering, Chemicals, Pharma, Textiles, and Logistics.
  • Conducting thorough credit and risk analyses to inform sound decision-making, while adeptly preparing credit notes to facilitate smooth deal structuring.
  • Ensuring seamless document fulfilment and timely disbursement of credit facilities
  • Working alongside the leadership and risk team to structure competitive deals and onboard clients effectively.
  • Collaborating with the leadership to identify and capitalise on new growth clusters and industries
  • Building and leveraging a strong network within industry circles to expand the business portfolio and capitalise on


Qualifications

  • Expertise in sales and business development, with experience in meeting sales targets and developing market strategies
  • Strong relationship-building skills for managing existing clients and acquiring new SME customers
  • Knowledge of credit solutions, financial products, and loan processing procedures
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess market trends and customer needs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in client negotiations and presentations
  • Previous experience in SME lending, banking, or financial services sectors is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with the Hyderabad market and region-specific business challenges is a plus
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
