Role Overview:
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving growth for Zelle Research & Analytical Services (ZRAS) by identifying new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions. This role requires a good understanding of the biopharmaceutical service landscape and a proven track record in business development within the Contract Research Organization Analytical Testing sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
- Identify and engage potential clients in the biopharma sector, focusing on biological testing and analytical services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their needs and providing appropriate solutions.
Collaboration & Cross-functional Coordination:
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure client requirements are met with high-quality solutions.
- Coordinate with marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns targeting potential clients.
Sales & Revenue Growth:
- Achieve sales targets by effectively managing the sales pipeline and closing deals.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of business development activities, client interactions, and sales performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s /Master’s Degree in Biotechnology/ Life Science Or Similar Field
Skills:
- Strong understanding of analytical services, including biosimilar analysis, impurity assessment, glycosylation profiling and biological testing solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in business development within the biopharmaceutical analytical services industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing client relationships.
