Sarlaa Agro Pvt Ltd is an emerging FMCG company focused on building high-quality, consumer-centric products. We are currently launching a new beverage product and are in the early stage of setting up distribution in the Noida market. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of building distribution from scratch and play a key role in shaping the growth of the business.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Area Sales Manager – FMCG based in Noida. This role involves setting up and driving distribution from the ground up, including onboarding distributors and expanding retail presence (general trade).
The person will be responsible for driving initial market traction, ensuring product availability across outlets, and building a strong foundation for scale. As part of early market development, the role will also involve initiating selective HoReCa partnerships for trials and brand visibility.
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in FMCG sales (general trade experience preferred)
- Hands-on experience in distributor handling and retail expansion
- Strong understanding of on-ground sales execution and market dynamics
- Experience in launching or scaling products in a local market is a plus
- Ability to work independently and take ownership in an early-stage setup
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Willingness to work extensively in the field
- Experience in beverages, food, or high-velocity FMCG categories is preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Build and execute the initial distribution strategy in Noida
- Identify and onboard distributors / super stockists
- Open and manage 30–50 retail outlets (kirana stores, juice shops, local outlets)
- Drive product visibility and availability in the market
- Work closely on-ground with retailers to generate initial traction and repeat sales
- Initiate selective HoReCa partnerships (cafes, small restaurants, etc.) for trials and visibility
- Monitor sales, secondary movement, and reorder cycles
- Provide regular feedback on product, pricing, and market response
- Hire and manage junior sales staff as the business scales
