Job Summary
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will be responsible for driving sales growth and market expansion across the assigned Gujarat territory. The role involves achieving primary and secondary sales targets, strengthening distributor and retailer networks, leading Field Sales Officers (FSOs), and enhancing brand presence for Oral Care, Personal Care, and Nutraceutical product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Build and appoint support staff, stop partners, and distributors
Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve sales targets
Lead, coach, and evaluate the performance of City Managers and DSE.
Expand and strengthen distributor and retailer networks
Ensure product availability, visibility, and effective market coverage
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback
Implement trade promotions, schemes, and marketing initiatives
Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance reviews
Ensure adherence to company sales policies and budget guidelines
Qualifications
Bachelors degree required; MBA, equivalent qualification.
5-10 years of FMCG sales experience must
Proven experience in team handling and distributor management
Experience in Oral Care, Skin Care and Personal Care products field.
Skills
Strong knowledge of FMCG sales and distribution management
Proven ability to drive sales growth and market expansion
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
Analytical mind-set with strong reporting and planning abilities
