Role Description The Area Product Manager – Intrusion Alarm is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This role is responsible for managing the intrusion alarm product portfolio, including product positioning, pricing, and lifecycle management for the assigned area. The Area Product Manager will collaborate with sales teams to drive product adoption, provide technical and product training, and support key customers and channel partners with pre- and post-sales guidance. Day-to-day activities include market research, competitor analysis, coordinating with regional and global product teams, preparing product documentation and marketing materials, and monitoring performance against sales and profitability targets. The role also involves visiting customer sites, gathering feedback to inform product improvements, and ensuring compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong product management and marketing abilities, including experience in product positioning, pricing, and lifecycle management within security or related technology domains.
- Technical understanding of intrusion alarm systems and broader electronic security solutions such as CCTV, access control, and surveillance products.
- Proficiency in market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and data-driven decision-making to support product strategy and regional growth.
- Effective communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with sales teams, partners, and cross-functional departments.
- Ability to work on-site in Chennai, travel within the assigned area as needed, and manage multiple projects and priorities independently.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, electronics, business, or a related field; experience in security systems or technology product management is highly desirable.
- Comfort with using CRM tools, office productivity software, and documentation systems for reporting, planning, and coordination.
