Instead of fixed pricing, passengers post their travel requirement and receive multiple fare offers from nearby drivers, allowing them to compare price, vehicle type, and driver ratings before confirming a ride. This ensures better pricing and choice for passengers, while giving drivers fair access to genuine booking opportunities without heavy commission structures.
OpenBid is seeking a highly driven and execution-oriented Area Manager – Operations to lead and scale operations across North Bengal & Sikkim, based out of Siliguri. The role entails full ownership of operational performance, vendor management, service quality, and revenue growth within the assigned territory.
The ideal candidate must be proactive, result-focused, and capable of managing on-ground execution while maintaining strategic oversight of area performance.
Location:- Siliguri (West-Bengal)
Key Responsibilities
1️⃣ Territory Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations across North Bengal & Sikkim
- Ensure smooth order fulfillment and service execution
- Maintain SLA compliance and operational efficiency
- Drive consistent service quality standards
2️⃣ Vendor / Partner Network Management
- Identify, onboard, and activate vendors/suppliers across the region
- Build and maintain strong on-ground relationships
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to company policies
- Handle escalations, disputes, and service-related issues
3️⃣ Demand–Supply & Performance Optimization
- Maintain balanced supply-demand ratio
- Reduce cancellations and service delays
- Improve fulfillment rates and customer satisfaction
- Implement area-specific strategies to enhance efficiency
4️⃣ Revenue & Growth
- Achieve area-level revenue targets
- Identify and expand into new growth pockets within the territory
- Execute hyperlocal marketing and activation initiatives
- Drive repeat usage and improve customer retention
5️⃣ Team Leadership
- Manage and supervise field executives (if applicable)
- Monitor productivity and performance metrics
- Conduct training and periodic performance reviews
- Foster a culture of accountability and ownership
6️⃣ Reporting & Analytics
Track key KPIs including:
- Fulfillment rate
- Vendor onboarding & retention
- Revenue performance
- Complaint ratios
- Operational turnaround time
- Provide weekly performance updates to leadership
Required Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience in operations, field management, or marketplace ecosystem
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Data-driven problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel across North Bengal & Sikkim
Compensation Structure
- Fixed Salary - 30,000+ per month based on proven similar experience.
- Performance-linked incentives based on revenue, operational efficiency, and territory growth.
