Role Description The Area Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Udaipur, responsible for overseeing branch and field operations within the assigned territory. This role includes managing daily loan processing workflows, supervising branch and operations staff, and ensuring adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls. The manager will monitor portfolio quality, turnaround times, and service levels, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience. The position involves close coordination with credit, collections, and sales teams to support business growth while maintaining risk and compliance standards. The role also requires regular performance reviews, training and mentoring of team members, and preparation of operational reports and dashboards for senior management.
Qualifications
- Strong operations management and branch supervision skills, with experience handling day-to-day workflows and process controls.
- Exposure to housing finance or retail lending, including knowledge of loan documentation, disbursement processes, and regulatory guidelines.
- Capability in people management, including team leadership, performance monitoring, coaching, and stakeholder coordination.
- Analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret operational data, track KPIs, and implement corrective actions.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools and common financial services systems; comfort with technology-enabled processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric mindset and focus on service quality.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, management, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification in management or finance is an advantage.
- Prior experience in area or regional operations roles in NBFCs, banks, or housing finance companies is highly desirable.
