- Experience: 5–16 years in Retail / QSR / Ecommerce

- Must Have Skills: P&L Responsibility/ NPS improvement/ Shrinkage/ Inventory control/ Wastage Reduction/ Revenue & EBITDA
- Industry Experience: Food & Grocery Retail, FMCG, Ecommerce, Quick Commerce, or QSR
Role Summary
The Area Manager will oversee a cluster of supermarkets, driving operational excellence, sales growth, and customer satisfaction. The role requires strong expertise in multi‑store operations, team leadership, and cost optimization, ensuring stores deliver on revenue, margins, and customer experience. The Area Manager will execute strategies designed by senior leadership while adapting to local market dynamics, competition, and customer trends.
Key Responsibilities
1.Store Operations & Standards
- Drive store standards through rigorous audits and SOP compliance.
- Ensure FOH/BOH readiness, merchandising, and look‑and‑feel parameters.
- Monitor statutory compliance across all stores in the cluster.
2.Sales & Freshness
- Coordinate with MPR & DC teams to ensure merchandise availability.
- Drive F&V freshness and availability with Category Managers, ensuring customer missions are met.
- Achieve revenue and margin targets across assigned supermarkets.
3.Customer Experience
- Monitor and improve NPS through feedback analysis and corrective actions.
- Reduce detractors' year‑on‑year through proactive service interventions.
4.Cost & Efficiency
- Monitor store overheads and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Drive shrinkage, damage, and expiry control processes.
- Optimize manpower planning and scheduling.
5.Catchment Activation & Growth
- Partner with marketing teams to activate catchments via D2D campaigns.
- Lead new store openings (NSO) in assigned areas, ensuring capex efficiency and operational success.
6.People & Talent Development
- Coach store managers on operations and people management.
- Build a succession pipeline by identifying and training talent.
- Drive operations and service training with the training manager.
