Role Description
The Area Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations, managing teams, and expanding Vegrow's business within the designated region of Maharashtra, India. Responsibilities include maintaining strong relationships with farmers, partners, and clients, ensuring smooth supply chain management, and driving business growth through effective planning and execution. The Area Manager will monitor market trends, resolve operational challenges, and ensure adherence to company policies and targets. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Maharashtra, India, requiring travel within the region to meet operational and strategic goals.
Qualifications
- Strong team leadership, people management, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in supply chain management, market operations, and business development
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data and metrics-driven decision-making
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder relationship management skills
- Proven ability to operate in dynamic, fast-paced environments
- Passion for agritech and experience within the agriculture or fresh produce sector is an advantage
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Agribusiness, or a related field
- Willingness to travel extensively within Maharashtra
