What you will do:
The Area Manager is responsible for the overall performance, growth, and operational excellence of multiple Supertails clinics and grooming centers within a designated region. This strategic leadership role ensures that all centers under their purview deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience, achieve financial targets, and adhere to brand and compliance standards. The Area Manager leads, coaches, and develops a team of Centre Managers, acting as the key driver for scalability and success in their territory.
Key Responsibilities:📈 Regional P&L & Business PerformanceOwn and be accountable for the P&L, revenue, and profitability targets for all centers in the assigned area.
Analyze financial and operational reports (daily, weekly, monthly) to monitor performance trends, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
Develop and execute area-level strategies to drive growth through local marketing initiatives, community partnerships, and promotional campaigns.
Provide on-ground insights to central business and category teams to inform pricing, service offerings, and expansion strategy.
👥 Leadership & Centre Manager DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Centre Managers.
Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear goals (KPIs), and create individual development plans for direct reports.
Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration among Centre Managers across the area.
Act as the primary escalation point for complex operational or customer issues resolved by Centre Managers.
🏥 Multi-Unit Operational ExcellenceEnsure standardized, seamless, and efficient operations across all centers in the area as per defined SOPs.
Conduct regular audits (operations, safety, compliance, inventory) to ensure consistency and identify best practices to share across the region.
Oversee area-wide inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste or pilferage.
Coordinate with the central Infrastructure team to manage maintenance, repairs, and facility upgrades for all locations.
✅ Compliance, Safety & Brand StandardsGuarantee 100% adherence to all clinical, grooming, safety, and regulatory compliance standards across all centers.
Ensure all locations maintain a clean, pet-safe, and fear-free environment that consistently reflects the Supertails brand.
Oversee emergency preparedness and ensure all centers are audit-ready at all times.
🤝 Stakeholder Management & CollaborationServe as the key liaison between central teams (Operations, HR, Category, Marketing, Expansion) and the centers in the field.
Communicate company goals, process changes, and new initiatives effectively to Centre Managers and their teams.
Collaborate with the Clinical Leadership team to ensure veterinary and grooming service quality remains high across the area.
💼 Experience & SkillsRequired:
A pet parent with a deep understanding of the customer mindset (preferred).
8+ years of experience in multi-unit operations management, preferably in retail, hospitality, healthcare, or QSR.
Proven track record of driving business growth and profitability across multiple locations.
Exceptional leadership and people management skills with experience in coaching and developing managers.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficient in interpreting P&L statements and performance data.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively influencing diverse stakeholders.
Highly organized, strategic thinker comfortable with technology and data-driven decision-making.
Preferred:
Prior experience in a multi-unit role within the veterinary, pet care, or wellness industry.
Experience with scaling operations in a high-growth environment.
Familiarity with CRM, POS, and inventory management systems.
