Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Area Head, Sales Executive role based in the Greater Delhi Area. The role involves leading and managing sales activities within the assigned region, including planning and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets. The Area Head will identify and develop relationships with schools, distributors, and institutional partners, conducting regular meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations. Responsibilities include monitoring market trends, gathering feedback on school books and educational products, and coordinating closely with the marketing and product teams to align offerings with customer needs. The role also includes sales forecasting, reporting on performance, guiding and supporting field sales representatives, and ensuring strong post-sales support and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in educational publishing, FMCG, or related field sales, preferably dealing with schools, distributors, or institutional clients.
- Strong regional market understanding in the Greater Delhi Area, with the ability to identify new business opportunities and build long-term relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage confidently with school leaders and decision-makers.
- Ability to plan and manage territory sales, including setting targets, tracking performance, and preparing accurate sales reports.
- Comfort with frequent field travel, on-site client meetings, and managing multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
- Sound problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a results-oriented and collaborative approach.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with CRM or sales-tracking tools is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification is a plus.
- Interest in school education, curriculum trends, and educational technology, with the motivation to represent content in areas such as Computers, Early Childhood Education, GK, English Grammar, Arts & Crafts, AI, and Data Science.
