About the Role
The
Area Head – Consumer Durable Loan is responsible for driving sales volumes and building a high-quality loan portfolio for Consumer Durable Loans across assigned branches. The role focuses on expanding product reach across customer segments and channels while ensuring compliance, portfolio hygiene, and operational efficiency. This position plays a key role in delivering banking solutions in a cost-effective and technology-enabled manner, contributing to the bank’s growth at a pan-India level.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Acquire new customers for Consumer Durable Loans in identified segments.
- Meet and exceed monthly targets for new customer acquisition by analyzing transaction banking needs.
- Provide regular feedback to Relationship Managers on customer opportunities and requirements.
- Ensure adherence to selling norms and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) defined by the organization.
- Maintain strict compliance with internal guidelines and external regulations.
- Ensure quality sourcing aligned with the bank’s credit and operational policies.
- Focus on acquiring new-to-bank (NTB) customers with quick turnaround times (TAT).
- Maintain portfolio hygiene including timely completion of PDDs, DAGND, and NACH mandates.
- Monitor early warning signs and maintain high standards of customer service and compliance.
- Promote digital adoption and maintain high productivity across teams.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Create an environment that encourages digital enablement to holistically meet customer needs.
- Drive initiatives aligned with the bank’s rapid growth targets.
What We Are Looking For
Education
- Graduation: Any Graduation (Full-Time)
- Postgraduation: MBA / PGDM (Preferred)
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Consumer Durable Loan sales and portfolio management.
Skills and Attributes
- Strong understanding of consumer lending products and customer acquisition strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High compliance orientation and attention to portfolio hygiene.
- Ability to drive digital adoption and operational efficiency.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on early risk identification and resolution.
