Role Description The Area Business Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kochi, focused on driving regional sales growth and market development for Biocomposites’ medical device portfolio. The individual in this role will manage and expand relationships with healthcare professionals, hospitals, and clinics, promoting products and providing clinical and commercial support. Day-to-day responsibilities include territory planning, executing sales strategies, organizing product demonstrations and training, and monitoring competitor activity. The Area Business Manager will analyze sales performance, forecast demand, and prepare regular reports, while collaborating with marketing, clinical, and operations teams to ensure effective product positioning and customer satisfaction. This role also involves ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, company policies, and ethical standards in all business activities.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in regional sales management, territory planning, and account development within healthcare or medical devices.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and institutional customers.
- Experience in orthopaedic product promotion, OT ecposure , and organizing educational programs or in-service training.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities, including sales forecasting, performance tracking, and use of CRM or similar tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain clinical and technical concepts clearly.
- Self-directed work style, strong time management, and capability to operate effectively in field-based, on-site roles.
- Knowledge of orthopaedics, trauma, infection management, or related clinical areas is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, business, or a related field; prior experience as a medical representative or area manager is preferred.
- Comfort with travel within the assigned territory and adherence to all regulatory and ethical requirements.
Note: Orthopaedic and Operation Theatre (OT) exposure is mandatory.
