LOCATION:  Full-time, onsite in the WMA

We are seeking a Cyber Security Project Engineer who can deliver disciplined, security‑first leadership across complex program systems. In this role, you will ensure the secure design, implementation, and protection of mission‑critical platforms—defending against unauthorized access, denial of service, data theft, and insider threats while upholding strict Sponsor security standards.

Key Responsibilities

In this challenging yet rewarding role, you're an integral part of what brings our company's mission to life.  You must have the following required skills and demonstrated experience in and/or with:

Cyber Security Project Engineer focused experience:
  • Ensuring the secure design and implementation of program systems, protecting against unauthorized access, usage denial, theft, and insider threats
  • Maximizing the security of the system by protecting Sponsor data and ensuring security best practices, including those defined by the Sponsor, are followed
  • Installing, patching and updating software to monitor and maintain system capabilities, uptime and stability
  • Supporting Sponsor's Assessment & Authorization (A&A) accreditation requirements
  • Managing information system security, policy, accreditation and regulatory compliance
  • Playing a crucial role in integrating information assurance into Sponsor's acquisition and implementation processes
Additional experience:
  • Bringing programmatic discipline to the management of complex systems.
  • Administering communications solutions.
  • Integrating systems and managing technical programs.
  • System assessment and Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes.
  • Handling sensitive data, exercising discretion and sound judgment, and achieving mission outcomes.
  • Customizing, deploying and maintaining Android cellular telephones.
  • Using beaconing and tracking hardware, software, scripts, and code.
  • Managing cell phones, laptops, and tablet devices, all of which require configuration and maintenance while maximizing uptime and communications reliability.
  • Using encryption hardware and software and virtual private network (VPN) applications.
  • Gathering and vetting new technical requirements.
  • Identifying requirements and constraints pertaining to technical capabilities and solutions in support of training and educational exercises.
  • Providing technical leadership.
  • Utilizing and executing regulatory and data retention policies and modifying such policies with input and direction from key stakeholders.
  • Cross-skilling and backfilling for teammates.
  • Utilizing Microsoft cloud-based tools including Office 365, Azure, Entra, Intune, and Teams.
  • Using communication tools including push-to-talk technology.
  • Using map imagery applications.

Highly Desired Qualifications

Other skills and demonstrated experiences that are highly desired but not mandatory to perform the work, include:
  • Administering complex Sponsor unclassified systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of Sponsor personnel.
  • Working with system assessment and Sponsor's Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes.
  • Supporting and troubleshooting proprietary Sponsor map imagery applications.

SCHEDULE:
This is a full-time position with consultants expected to be available and working onsite in the WMA during core hours.
