About the role

Job Summary

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Mobile Equipment Operator based out of our Rye North Plant. As a Dozer Operator you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment and working with a team to produce natural aggregates in a mining environment. 

Day to Day

  •  Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
  • The ability to operate two pieces of mobile equipment (haul truck, farm tractor, water truck, rubber tire backhoe, front loader, dozer or excavator etc.)
  • Operate equipment in quarry or production
  • Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
  • Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performance
  • Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned
  • Proficient knowledge of preventative maintenance in equipment and plant maintenance
  • Cleans equipment, clears obstacles in work environment.

 

About You

  •  Positive, Team-based attitude
  • The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
  • The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
  • Operate at least 2 pieces of Heavy Equipment (haul truck, backhoe, front-end loader, dozer or excavator)

 

 Working Conditions


While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
