Architectural Designer – Skylights, Facades & Specialty Glazing Systems
Company Description
Good Windows is a Pune-based design and manufacturing company specializing in custom-engineered skylights, facades, curtain glazing, steel and aluminium windows, glass canopies, pergolas, and architecturally complex building envelope solutions.
Our projects range from luxury private residences to large-scale commercial developments, including free-form skylights, structural glass systems, and bespoke architectural metal-and-glass installations. We work closely with leading architects, consultants, and developers across India to create technically challenging and visually striking structures.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune for an Architectural Designer – Skylights, Facades & Specialty Glazing Systems.
The selected candidate will be responsible for developing architectural concepts, detailed drawings, shop drawings, 3D models, and visual presentations for custom skylight, façade, glazing, and specialty metal-glass projects.
The role requires close coordination with architects, clients, structural consultants, vendors, fabrication teams, and project managers to transform design concepts into practical, buildable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop architectural concepts and detailed designs for skylights, facades, curtain glazing, pergolas, canopies, steel windows, and other specialty architectural products.
- Prepare 2D drawings, detailed design packages, and 3D models for client presentations and project execution.
- Interpret architectural drawings and coordinate with consultants to develop technically feasible solutions.
- Assist in preparing design proposals, presentations, BOQs, and material specifications.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and execution teams during project development.
- Participate in site visits, measurements, and project review meetings.
- Assist in resolving design and detailing challenges during fabrication and installation.
- Work on custom and free-form architectural projects requiring innovative problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding materials, hardware, glazing systems, and finishes.
- Support project documentation, revisions, and drawing management throughout the project lifecycle.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
- 2–8 years of experience in architectural design, façade design, glazing, fenestration, or related industries.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
- Working knowledge of Revit, Rhino, Lumion, V-Ray, Enscape, or similar visualization software will be an advantage.
- Ability to create detailed architectural drawings and presentation-quality 3D visualizations.
- Understanding of construction detailing, materials, fabrication processes, and building systems.
- Strong spatial visualization and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
