Role Description: The Architectural Intern will support the design and execution of residential and interior projects, working on-site at the BuildArt office in Trivandrum in a full-time capacity. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with architectural drawings, 2D/3D models, and interior layouts under the guidance of senior team members. The intern will help prepare design presentations, gather and organise project data, and contribute to space planning and visualisation work. Responsibilities also include coordinating with architects, interior designers, and engineers, supporting documentation for authority approvals, and participating in site visits for measurements, progress tracking, and quality checks. The role offers hands-on experience in end-to-end project workflows, from concept development to execution.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to support concept development and detailed drawings.
- Basic understanding of Solution Architecture and Integration within building and interior design projects.
- Effective Communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and interacting with clients and vendors.
- Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Proficiency in design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar software) and familiarity with 3D visualization.
- Attention to detail, time management, and ability to follow design guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Willingness to work on-site in Trivandrum and participate in site visits and field coordination.
- Interest in sustainable design, smart home solutions, and contemporary residential interiors is an added advantage.
