Role Description The Architectural Draftsman will be responsible for preparing accurate architectural and construction drawings based on design briefs and project requirements. Day-to-day tasks include developing detailed floor plans, elevations, sections, and layout drawings, as well as updating and revising drawings as per feedback from architects, engineers, and regulatory authorities. The role involves coordinating with the design team to ensure drawings meet building codes, permit requirements, and client specifications, and organizing drawing sets for submission in the approval process. The Architectural Draftsman will also assist in planning plot subdivision layouts and maintaining documentation and drawing archives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ernakulam.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Architectural Drawings and Drawing for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.
- Foundational knowledge of Architecture and Planning principles, including building codes and regulations.
- Proficiency in preparing detailed Construction Drawings, including structural and service-related layouts.
- Experience with CAD software (such as AutoCAD or similar) and basic familiarity with 3D visualization tools.
- Diploma or degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Architectural Drafting, or a related field.
- Ability to interpret architect and engineer inputs accurately and translate them into clear technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and willingness to collaborate in an on-site team environment in Ernakulam.
