Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Architectural Drafter role based in Chennai. The Architectural Drafter will prepare detailed architectural and construction drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and joinery details, in alignment with project requirements and design intent. The role involves translating conceptual designs and sketches into precise technical documentation using CAD and related software. The drafter will coordinate with designers, project managers, and site teams to incorporate measurements, specifications, and revisions accurately. Daily tasks include updating drawings based on feedback, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, organizing drawing sets for approvals, and supporting project documentation throughout the fit-out and manufacturing process.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Architectural Drawings and Construction Drawings, with the ability to create clear, accurate, and buildable documentation.
- Foundational knowledge of Architecture and Planning principles, including spatial layout, material usage, and interior fit-out detailing.
- Solid Drawing skills, both digital (CAD/BIM tools) and basic hand sketching, to translate concepts into technical outputs.
- Experience in interior projects (commercial, residential, retail, or hospitality) and familiarity with fit-out processes is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting tools); knowledge of 3D visualization software is a plus.
- Diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Drafting, Interior Design, or a related discipline.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to interpret specifications, and commitment to accuracy and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional project teams on-site in Chennai.
