Architect – AI Productivity CoE

About the Role
We are seeking a highly accomplished Architect to join the Centre of Excellence – AI Productivity. This role sits at the intersection of strategic architecture, engineering leadership, and AI-driven innovation.
As a Architect, you will define and drive enterprise-scale solution architecture, lead multiple engineering workstreams, and ensure alignment between technology strategy, product vision, and business outcomes. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the CoE’s technical direction while mentoring senior engineering talent and influencing client stakeholders.
You are expected to bring deep full-stack expertise, strong cloud-native experience, and hands-on exposure to GenAI tools and platforms, along with the ability to communicate complex technical strategies to executive audiences.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility leadership role, responsible for shaping how AI-driven productivity solutions are architected, built, and delivered.
Key Responsibilities
1. Architecture & Technical Strategy
- Define and own solution architecture for enterprise-grade, AI-enabled applications
- Establish architecture standards, patterns, and governance frameworks across programs
- Drive technology selection with clear trade-off analysis and future scalability considerations
- Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives to validate design decisions and mitigate risks
- Ensure non-functional requirements (scalability, security, performance, resilience) are embedded in all solutions
2. Engineering Leadership & Mentorship
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams, squads, or delivery streams
- Mentor Technical Leads, Module Leads, and Senior Engineers on architecture and best practices
- Review and approve High-Level Designs (HLDs) and guide Low-Level Designs (LLDs)
- Identify and address systemic engineering challenges (tech debt, scalability, performance bottlenecks)
- Drive engineering excellence and maturity across the CoE
3. Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management
- Present architecture strategies and solution proposals to client leadership and C-suite stakeholders
- Lead technical workshops, discovery sessions, and architecture review boards
- Translate complex technical concepts into business-aligned narratives
- Act as a trusted technical advisor in client engagements, RFPs, and pre-sales initiatives
4. GenAI & Innovation Leadership
- Lead evaluation and adoption of GenAI tools, LLMs, and AI productivity frameworks
- Define best practices for prompt engineering, AI-assisted development, and responsible AI usage
- Drive R&D initiatives to explore GenAI integration in products and developer workflows
- Establish standards for AI governance, cost optimization, and ethical AI usage
Mandatory Skills
Architecture & Engineering Expertise
- 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with 5+ years in architecture/technical leadership roles
- Deep expertise in at least one backend stack:
- .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core) OR
- Java (Spring Boot, Microservices)
- Strong full-stack knowledge (React/Angular, APIs, data modeling, integrations)
- Proven experience in microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures
- Strong foundation in SOLID, DDD, CQRS, Event Sourcing, and design patterns
Hands-On GenAI Expertise
- Proven experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot
- Ability to leverage AI for code generation, design validation, refactoring, and integrations
- Strong judgment in reviewing AI-generated output and defining responsible AI usage standards
Cloud Architecture (At Least One Platform)
- Expertise in either AWS or Azure:
AWS:
- Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS, API Gateway, IAM, CloudFormation
- Well-Architected Framework
Azure:
- AKS, Azure Functions, Azure AI Services, DevOps, Bicep/ARM
- Azure Architecture Center
- Strong understanding of cloud-native principles: scalability, resilience, security, and cost optimization
Required Technical Skills
DevOps & Platform Engineering
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep
- CI/CD pipeline design and release strategies
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and observability tools
Agile Delivery
- Experience leading multi-team Agile delivery (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban)
- Strong skills in estimation, capacity planning, and risk management
GenAI & AI Systems
- Understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and enterprise use cases
- Experience with LLM APIs, vector databases, and AI agent architectures
- Knowledge of AI governance, cost, and compliance considerations
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Solutions Architect Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification
- Experience in platform engineering / developer experience (DevEx)
- Pre-sales experience: solutioning, estimation, proposal creation
- Exposure to MLOps, AI/ML deployment, or data engineering
- Experience in building or scaling a Centre of Excellence (CoE)
