Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Architect Intern to join our team in Karungal, Kanyakumari District. This internship provides hands-on experience in residential and commercial building projects, allowing interns to work closely with experienced professionals throughout the design and construction process.
The role is ideal for architecture students or recent graduates who are passionate about practical design, sustainable construction, and learning through real project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing architectural drawings, plans, and construction documentation.
- Develop and modify 2D drawings and 3D models using architectural design software.
- Participate in site visits to collect measurements, verify construction progress, and document site conditions.
- Support design presentations and preparation of client presentation materials.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and project teams on technical details and material selection.
- Assist in integrating sustainable design principles into residential and commercial projects.
- Review drawings for constructability, feasibility, and compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain project documentation, reports, and drawing revisions.
- Support project tracking, planning, and progress reporting.
- Learn practical construction methods, quality control procedures, and disciplined site execution.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Basic understanding of architectural design, spatial planning, construction methods, and building systems.
- Familiarity with architectural software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar design tools.
- Basic understanding of digital workflows and software integration in architectural projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, structured, and safety-conscious site environment.
- Interest in sustainable building design and environmentally responsible construction practices.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of sustainable architecture and green building concepts.
- Basic rendering or visualization skills.
- Familiarity with construction documentation and detailing.
