Role: SAP Technical Architect

Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced
SAP Technical Architect with strong expertise in
S/4HANA System Conversion, including assessment, planning, execution, and post‑migration optimization. The ideal candidate will lead the end‑to‑end technical transformation, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and ensure seamless transition from SAP ECC to S/4HANA.
Key Responsibilities
- S/4HANA Conversion & Migration
- Lead technical planning and execution of SAP ECC to S/4HANA conversions (Greenfield, Brownfield, Selective Data Transition).
- Perform Readiness Checks, Custom Code Migration (ATC), SUM/DMO runs, and system validation.
- Oversee all phases of conversion including sandbox, development, QA, pre‑production, and go‑live.
- Handle Unicode conversions, OS/DB migrations, SAP HANA sizing, and infrastructure alignment.
- Architecture & Technical Design
- Design end‑to‑end technical architecture for SAP S/4HANA landscapes.
- Define SAP system strategy, landscape simplification, and technical standards.
- Coordinate Basis, ABAP, Integration, and Infrastructure teams for cohesive project delivery.
- Custom Code Management
- Lead custom code remediation using tools like ATC, Quick Fix, SCI, SNOTE.
- Analyze simplification items and guide business/functional teams through the adjustments.
- System Performance & Optimization
- Optimize HANA database performance, memory utilization, and system stability.
- Address performance issues related to Fiori, integrations, and heavy business processes.
- Project Governance & Delivery
- Prepare and manage technical project plans, cut‑over strategies, and risk logs.
- Provide leadership in design workshops, technical reviews, and architecture governance.
- Work with business stakeholders to align technical solutions with enterprise strategy.
- Integration & Security
- Oversee interfaces using PI/PO, CPI, ALE/IDoc, RFC, APIs, BTP services.
- Ensure S/4HANA conversion aligns with security, GRC, and audit/compliance requirements.
Required Skills
- 10+ years SAP technical experience, including Basis & ABAP understanding.
- Minimum 2–3 end‑to‑end S/4HANA System Conversions (Brownfield) as a lead architect.
- Strong expertise in:
- SUM/DMO
- SAP Readiness Check
- Maintenance Planner
- Simplification Item checks
- Custom Code Adaptation
- HANA DB administration concepts
- Deep understanding of SAP application architecture, integrations, and cloud hosting models (AWS/Azure/GCP preferred).
- Experience with Fiori activation, security roles, and performance tuning.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Knowledge of SAP BTP, OData services, APIs, Extensibility Framework.
- Experience in SAP Activate methodology.
- Exposure to automation tools for conversion (e.g., Tricentis, SNP, Panaya).
- Understanding of SAP Solution Manager / Focused Build.
