Architect (AutoCAD & Drafting Specialist – PMC)

About the Role:
We are expanding our project delivery capabilities at SAFAA Group of Companies and are looking to onboard a technically strong and detail-oriented Architect for a key role within our Project Management function.
This position will support the execution of a large-scale shopping mall development, with a strong focus on architectural drafting, drawing coordination, and documentation control, ensuring alignment with design intent, execution feasibility, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review architectural working drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and GFC drawings
- Develop and maintain high-quality AutoCAD drawings with proper standards, layering, and documentation control
- Manage drawing registers, revision logs, and ensure accurate version control
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP consultants to ensure fully integrated and clash-free drawings
- Facilitate timely issuance of coordinated drawings aligned with project schedules
- Review drawings from a PMC perspective, ensuring constructability, compliance with scope, and alignment with timelines
- Track drawing submissions, approvals, and pending actions to support project delivery
- Interface with site teams to verify execution against drawings, provide clarifications, and capture as-built changes
- Support resolution of on-site technical and coordination issues
- Coordinate tenant requirements, retail layouts, and interior fit-outs in line with mall design guidelines
- Ensure alignment between base building design and tenant-specific requirements
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3–8 years of experience in architectural drafting and coordination
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting and detailing)
- Experience in large commercial / mall / mixed-use projects preferred
- Ability to coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
- Strong understanding of construction detailing and execution practices
- High attention to detail with strong documentation control skills
- Excellent coordination and communication abilities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
