That Design Studio is a multidisciplinary design practice working across interiors, architecture, branding, art and visual design, with a particular love for hospitality and spaces that have something to say.
We’re a small, collaborative team of architects, designers, graphic designers and visual thinkers who like asking questions before jumping to answers. We’re interested in how things work, why they work, and occasionally, why they shouldn’t work the way they always have.
Our projects move between concept, design development and execution, with a strong focus on materiality, detail, context and the experience of a space.
We’re looking for people who are curious, opinionated, hands-on and excited by the process of making—not just the final image.
Role Description
We’re looking for an Architect to join our Delhi studio.
This is a full-time, on-site role for someone who can move comfortably between big ideas and small details—from developing a concept to figuring out how that idea actually gets built.
You’ll work across architectural and interior projects, developing drawings, details and documentation, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and working closely with the design team through different stages of a project.
The role involves:
- Developing design concepts and translating them into drawings and working documents.
- Working on plans, elevations, sections, details and construction documentation.
- Researching materials, finishes, construction methods and spatial ideas.
- Coordinating with consultants, vendors and contractors.
- Participating in site visits and resolving design and technical issues on site.
- Working with the team to take projects from concept to execution.
- Contributing ideas, references and the occasional unreasonable-but-interesting design thought.
- Keeping an eye on both the larger design intent and the details that make it work.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys being involved in the whole process, rather than only one part of it.
What We’re Looking For
- A degree in Architecture from a recognised institution.
- Strong architectural and interior design sensibility.
- Good understanding of planning, detailing, materials and construction.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and rendering software is a plus.
- Ability to develop design ideas into clear, buildable drawings.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- An eye for detail—and the patience to actually deal with the detail.
- Ability to work independently while being comfortable collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to visit sites and get involved beyond the screen.
- Curiosity about materials, art, architecture, culture and the world around you.
- Prior experience in hospitality / F&B design is a plus.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who thinks, questions, notices things and wants to make work that is considered rather than simply good-looking.
