Architect – That Design Studio
About Us
That Design Studio is a multidisciplinary design practice working across interiors, branding, and hospitality. We collaborate closely with founders and businesses to create spaces that are thoughtful, distinctive, and commercially relevant.
Role Overview
We are looking for an Architect to join our team and work across hospitality, retail, and commercial interior projects. The role involves taking projects from concept development through detailed design and execution, coordinating with consultants and vendors, and ensuring design intent is carried through on site.
Responsibilities
- Develop design concepts, layouts, and spatial planning solutions.
- Prepare architectural drawings, presentations, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with consultants, vendors, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Produce detailed working drawings and construction packages.
- Conduct site visits and monitor project progress to ensure design quality and accuracy.
- Review materials, finishes, and mock-ups.
- Assist in project scheduling, coordination, and design management.
- Support the team in research, design development, and project delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
- 1–5 years of professional experience, preferably in hospitality, retail, or interior architecture projects.
- Strong design sensibility and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and presentation software.
- Experience preparing construction drawings and coordinating project execution.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
Preferred
- Experience working on restaurants, cafés, bars, or hospitality projects.
- Familiarity with material sourcing and vendor coordination.
- Working knowledge of Lumion, Enscape, or similar visualization tools.
