Company Description AAVAHSA is a multidisciplinary design studio whose name is inspired by the Hindi word “Aavas,” meaning a space for shelter. The studio focuses on architecture, interiors, show flats, apartments, builder floors, retail spaces, offices, and private residences, with a strong emphasis on user experience. AAVAHSA is committed to handling a select number of projects at a time to ensure detailed design, thoughtful planning, and personalized attention. Current projects range from 3,000 to 20,000 square feet and are under construction across Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Dehradun, Jammu, and Chandigarh. The team is driven by the goal of creating distinctive, well-crafted spaces that enhance everyday living.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Architect role based in India. The Architect will be responsible for developing architectural concepts, preparing drawings and 3D models, and refining designs in collaboration with the principal and design team. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with clients, consultants, and contractors, preparing design presentations and working drawings, and supporting site execution to ensure design intent and quality standards are met. The role involves collaborating with internal teams on interiors and multidisciplinary projects, assisting with project documentation, and contributing to design reviews. The Architect will also help manage timelines, track design changes, and support compliance with local regulations and building codes.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with experience translating concepts into detailed plans and construction-ready drawings.
- Ability to support Project Management activities, including scheduling, coordination with stakeholders, and tracking project progress.
- Familiarity with Integration between architectural requirements and other disciplines (e.g., structural, MEP), ensuring cohesive and buildable solutions.
- Working knowledge of relevant design and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools) and proficiency in 3D visualization and presentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch) or equivalent from a recognized institution; eligibility for or registration with the Council of Architecture (COA) is preferred.
- Strong design sensibility, attention to detail, and an understanding of user-centric and experience-focused design.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a studio environment and coordinate with on-site teams.
- Experience with high-detail residential, interior, or mixed-use projects and familiarity with Indian building codes and local approval processes is an advantage.
