Role Summary
We at Accolade Electronics are looking for a highly skilled Software Architect to drive the architecture and development of next-generation automotive electronics and connected mobility solutions. The role will be responsible for defining end-to-end software architectures, evaluating emerging technologies, and supporting advanced engineering initiatives across Telematics, eCockpit, BCM, and EVCC domains. The incumbent will collaborate with customers, product management, and engineering teams to create scalable, innovative, and future-ready automotive platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Software Architecture & Solution Design
- Define end-to-end system and Software architecture for connected mobility and automotive electronics products.
- Develop architecture frameworks, interface definitions, and technology roadmaps.
- Translate customer, regulatory, and business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Drive platform modularization, product reuse, and standardization strategies.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies in connectivity, cybersecurity, OTA, AI, V2X, cloud integration, and EV ecosystems.
Advanced Engineering & Product Innovation
- Lead concept development, feasibility studies, architecture evaluations, and proof-of-concept activities.
- Define hardware-software partitioning and technology selection strategies.
- Establish system and software requirements, architecture documentation, and design guidelines.
- Support seamless transition from advanced engineering to product development.
- Drive innovation and patent-generation initiatives.
Domain Expertise
Telematics
- 4G/5G connectivity, GNSS, OTA, eCall, cybersecurity, cloud integration, and connected vehicle services.
eCockpit
- Digital clusters, infotainment systems, Android Automotive, Linux/QNX platforms, HMI frameworks, graphics, audio, and connectivity.
BCM & Vehicle Networking
- CAN, LIN, Ethernet, diagnostics, body electronics, power management, and zonal architecture concepts.
EVCC
- EV charging protocols and standards including CCS, ISO 15118, OCPP, Plug & Charge, smart charging, and compliance requirements.
Customer & Technical Engagement
- Participate in customer technical discussions, design reviews, and architecture workshops.
- Support RFQ/RFI responses with technical proposals and solution architectures.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Program Management, and Engineering teams to develop winning solutions.
- Present architecture concepts and technical recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
- Drive architecture reviews, design reviews, and technical decision-making.
- Promote adoption of Agile, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and CI/CD practices.
- Contribute to technical competency development within the organization.
Process, Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with ASPICE, ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), and ISO 21434 (Cybersecurity).
- Drive best practices in requirements management, system, software design, and architecture governance.
- Participate in risk assessments, design audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Automotive Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- 10–12 years of experience in automotive electronics, embedded systems, connected mobility, or automotive software development.
- Strong hands-on experience in system and software architecture, product design, and advanced engineering.
- Experience in at least two of the following domains:
- Telematics
- eCockpit
- BCM / Vehicle Networking
- EVCC
- Experience working with Automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers is preferred.
Technical Competencies
- System and software architecture and platform design.

- Version control using GIT, Bucket, CVN, SVN, Perforce
- Programming Languages: Embedded C, C++, Python, Linux, CAPL scripting
- Knowledge of ISO 27001, 27002, ISO/SAE 21434, ISO26262, ISO14229, ISO17978
- MCAL (SPI, PMIC ADC configuration),
- Version Control & Tracking : CVS, GIT, SVS, Perforce, Bit bucket , Clear case, Red mine, RTC, JIRA, , Confluence, Jenkins, CI/CD
- Interfacing: LCD, RTC, 24C512 – EEPROM, I2C base different devices
- Compilers & Debugger: Trace32, IAR, winIDEA, iSystem debugger, ATMEL ICE
