Job Summary
The Preschool Teacher is responsible for providing a nurturing, structured, and faith‑centered learning environment for preschool‑aged children. This role supports students’ social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and academic development while fostering a love of learning within a Catholic setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities
- Support early learning in areas such as language, early literacy, math readiness, motor skills, and social development
- Create a safe, welcoming, and nurturing classroom environment
- Incorporate Catholic values, prayer, and age‑appropriate faith formation into daily routines
- Supervise students during classroom activities, playtime, transitions, and meals as assigned
- Observe and assess student progress and development
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration
- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and required documentation
- Follow all school policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Schedule
- School‑day hours
- Follows the preschool or academic calendar
- Full‑time or part‑time as determined by program needs
Qualifications
- Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Experience working with preschool‑aged children preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Patience, flexibility, and a nurturing teaching style
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and families
- Commitment to Catholic values and the mission of Catholic education
- Ability to meet all background check and Safe Environment requirements
