The role

Our mission is to build and develop audiences and communities and to build products that serve those audiences and communities.


The Digital Product Manager is a critical role which will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our digital membership and media products. For new products, this will include the proposition, development and execution through the full product lifecycle. For existing products, this will include refreshes, upgrades, and integrations. We are looking for a Product Manager who thrives on being a visible leader and can inspire others with their expertise.


The role is highly collaborative, working with cross-functional teams such as editorial, marketing, and sales to ensure that the digital product meets the audience needs and the company’s growth strategy.


Key responsibilities

Build the product strategy and roadmap

  • Define product value propositions
  • Define product strategy and roadmap, based on market research and audience needs, aligning the vision and strategy to the broader business goals and outcomes
  • Prioritize features and requirements, advocating for the customer needs whilst balancing stakeholder needs
  • Define and prioritize the product roadmap, understanding how the product delivers value, defining success metrics


Product development

  • Shape and translate the product requirements into technical specifications
  • Oversee the product development process, driving communication and collaboration to drive iterative development
  • Deliver in small iterative releases to test, learn and improve the product
  • Manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with the product strategy


Customer engagement

  • Identify viable concepts, product solutions & features, and test with customers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve the product and improve user experience


Go-to-market strategy

  • In collaboration with sales and marketing, define business models (which include product, packaging, pricing and launch strategies)
  • Work with marketing and editorial to create product messaging and campaigns
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration (across Editorial, Sales, and Marketing) to successfully launch products
  • Help drive product adoption and usage
  • Own product performance metrics


P&L Ownership

  • Take full ownership of the P&L for the digital membership product, ensuring financial targets are met through effective budgeting, forecasting, and cost management
  • Analyze product performance and revenue streams to identify opportunities for growth


Requirements

  • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric approach.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a high level of initiative.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment, working effectively with cross-functional teams whilst being highly organized.
  • Passionate about technology and innovation.
  • Proven experience in product management with a full understanding of product lifecycle management and agile methodologies.
  • Experience of B2B media (ad funded or subscription) and events an advantage
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.


Physical demands of the job include:

  • Performing work in an indoor office environment
  • Operating standard office equipment such as computers, printers, keyboards, monitors, phones, and other telecommunications or internet-enabled communications devices
  • Possessing short-distance visual acuity to perform an activity such as: entering, preparing, and/or analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and/or extensive reading.
  • Sitting, standing, bending, reaching items while at the event worksite.
  • Lifting, pulling, pushing, and/or carrying small to medium sized (0-30 lbs.) parcels, packages and other items or traversing short distances. Traversing longer distances and/or standing for extended periods of time is required during conferences and in-person events.
  • Domestic travel >5% annually.


This is a regular, full-time position. Most work is typically conducted Monday – Friday, during Arc’s core business hours, between 9:00 AM and 5:30 PM. Travel to events is required.

The compensation range for this role is $7,000.00 - $8,333.00 per month, less applicable taxes and deductions.
