Job Profile:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Ecologist or Arborist with strong expertise in technical report writing to support environmental assessments, tree surveys, and ecological documentation. The ideal candidate will combine field knowledge with exceptional analytical and writing skills to produce clear, accurate, and compliant reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct ecological surveys, tree inspections, and habitat assessments
- Prepare high-quality technical reports, including:
- Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA)
- Arboricultural Impact Assessments (AIA)
- Tree Protection Plans (TPP)
- Biodiversity and conservation reports
- Analyze field data and translate findings into structured, client-ready documents
- Ensure all reports comply with local environmental regulations and standards
- Collaborate with planners, engineers, and environmental consultants
- Review and edit reports for clarity, accuracy, and consistency
- Provide recommendations for environmental management and tree preservation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Forestry, Arboriculture, or related field
- Proven experience in ecological or arboricultural report writing
- Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, biodiversity policies, and tree protection guidelines
- Excellent written English and technical documentation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and reporting tools
- Ability to interpret survey data and present findings clearly
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Professional certifications
- (e.g., Arborist certification, ecological memberships)
- Experience with GIS software or mapping tools
- Familiarity with environmental impact regulations in Australian Experience give preference
- Experience working on infrastructure, construction, or land development projects.
