About the role
AquaPhoenix Scientific, headquartered in Hanover, PA, is growing and looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Software Engineer to join our innovative technology team. This is a great opportunity to build your software development career by contributing to our AWS-hosted SaaS platform while learning from experienced professionals in a supportive and collaborative environment.
This is a full-time, remote position (U.S. based) with full benefits. Residence in the DFW metroplex area is preferred; however, not required. Recent graduates or early-career professionals who are eager to grow and contribute are encouraged to apply!
As a Junior Software Engineer, you'll work closely with a talented team of developers and cross-functional teams to help design, develop, and maintain both frontend and backend components of our customer facing SaaS platforms. You'll gain valuable hands-on experience using modern technologies like AWS, React, and containerized environments, all while learning best practices in coding, collaboration, and product development.
Although not all inclusive, additional responsibilities, skills, and expectations include:
Assist in building web and mobile applications using React and related technologies
Participate in daily stand-ups and agile ceremonies
Collaborate with team members to analyze user needs and develop software solutions
Help maintain and improve existing codebases
Work with senior engineers to learn and implement software best practices
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
Contribute to testing and debugging efforts
Participate with a talented team of engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
