Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Andhra Pradesh, India for an Aqua Culture Trainee Technician and for candidates with 2–4 years of experience in aquaculture operations. The role involves assisting in day-to-day pond and tank management, including monitoring water quality parameters, feed application, stocking, and health observation of aquatic species. The technician helps implement company protocols for probiotics, water and soil management products, and health supplements, and records data related to growth performance, survival, and environmental conditions. Responsibilities include supporting field trials, collecting samples, and coordinating with senior technical staff to troubleshoot farm-level issues. The role also requires regular interaction with farm owners and workers to provide basic technical guidance, ensure proper product usage, and report field feedback to the technical and R&D teams.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of aquaculture practices, including pond preparation, stocking, feeding, and health management.
- Ability to monitor and interpret basic water quality parameters (e.g., pH, dissolved oxygen, temperature, salinity) and maintain farm records.
- Hands-on skills in handling probiotics, water and soil conditioners, and feed supplements as per recommended protocols.
- Good observation, data collection, and reporting skills to support field trials and routine performance monitoring.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with farmers, farm staff, and internal technical teams.
- Willingness to work on-site in field and farm conditions, with a focus on safety, quality, and environmental responsibility.
- Diploma or degree in Aquaculture, Fisheries Science, Agriculture, Life Sciences, or a related field; relevant certifications are an advantage.
- For experienced candidates (2–4 years): prior work in shrimp or fish farming, hatcheries, feed or aquaculture health products is preferred.
